Suyian Conservancy is a spectacular wilderness located in the heart of Kenya’s famed Laikipia Plateau. The conservancy encompasses 44,000 acres of savannah rangelands, striking rock kopjes, and towering acacia woodland along an enchanting 16 km (10 mi) stretch of the Ewaso Narok River, which serves as the lifeblood of Laikipia. Suyian, an integral part of the wider Ewaso Ecosystem, hosts the highest diversity of large mammal species in Kenya, second only to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Managed holistically for decades as a working cattle ranch with conservation at its core, today Suyian provides a sanctuary for wildlife, supports its neighbouring communities and stands as a living example of effective rangeland management.
